Fatbiking

Fatbike

Malangen can be magical for biking on snow. We use fat-bikes that are off-road bicycles with huge oversize tires. We start the ride from the cabin where we have made our own trails through the woods, the frozen lakes and over the hills. Riding a fat-bike is not harder than a normal bike, it just goes a bit slower. This gives you a fantastic view of the nature while riding.

There are also dog sledding tracks we can ride on, so we have large areas to explore. There are plenty of possibilities. Either along the solitary roads, long or short rides in the arctic landscape in the area around us.

Riding on snow is for everyone who enjoy riding a bike, or for everyone who is looking for a new adventure. If you think the snow will be dangerous to ride on, it’s not. The snow will slow your bike down and the ride will be very controlled.

We also go out fat-biking in the night or late evening using lights on the handlebar. If we you are lucky then you might even get to see the Northern Lights while riding the bike.
